Art Round Tennessee (ART) is hiring! We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, based in the city of Cookeville, dedicated to supporting the arts and artists in the Upper Cumberland region of Tennessee. Our mission is to engage all people in experiencing and creating visual art in our community. Join our team of artists, local business owners, community members, and art lovers!

Job Title: Executive Director
Deadline to Apply: July 11, 2025
Job Description: The Executive Director leads day-to-day operations of the organization. This role involves overseeing key events, expanding membership and funding, and managing communications and outreach. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors, Marketing Coordinator, volunteers, and community partners to ensure organizational growth and sustainability in support of ART’s mission.
Job Responsibilities:

Develop, coordinate, and oversee events, activities, and other programming that is aligned with Art Round Tennessee’s mission. Work to grow and improve current programming such as ART Prowl, First Fridays, the Art + Business Symposium, annual exhibitions, and annual fundraisers.

Develop strategic plans to sustain and increase membership base. Maintain and organize ART’s current membership list.

Communicate regularly with artists, patrons, and the community at large about ART events and programming. Attend local events as a representative of Art Round Tennessee to spread the word about the organization. Plan and implement outreach strategies to connect ART with the broader community, secure sponsorships, and increase ART funding.

Manage Art Round Tennessee’s primary email address as the organization’s primary contact.

Coordinate and oversee volunteers and contracted event staff (ART booth volunteers, photographers, graphic designers, musicians, etc.).

Day-of event coordination for all ART events throughout the year.

Work with the Board of Directors to contact regular donors, find new donors, and maintain ART’s master donor list.

Work with the Board of Directors to ensure all annual paperwork is submitted to the state on time.

Work with the Board’s Treasurer to keep track of expenses, budgets, and donations.

Assist Board of Directors with copywriting and expense tracking for grant proposals.

Work with Marketing Coordinator to maintain and grow ART’s current mailing list, and provide information for monthly newsletters.

Work with the Marketing Coordinator on an advertising calendar and budget.

Work with the Marketing Coordinator to submit press releases, radio ads, & print ads.

Monthly Salary: $1500.00
Approximate Hours Per Week: 20 (Expect hours to fluctuate a little throughout the year)

Job Title: Marketing Coordinator

Job Description: The Marketing Coordinator develops and implements strategies to promote events, increase engagement, and drive donations. Responsibilities include graphic design, content creation, and copywriting for digital and print platforms, as well as managing the organization’s website, social media, and online advertising. The role also involves attending in-person events, designing materials like the ART Prowl brochure, and collaborating with the Executive Director on newsletters, advertising calendars, and budgets.
Job Responsibilities:

Develop marketing strategies to drive attendance at ART events and increase donations.

Graphic design, content creation, and copywriting for use across multiple platforms including but not limited to social media, website, newsletters, emails, print advertising, and radio advertising.

Maintain and regularly update the Art Round Tennessee website and online artist directory. Work with the Executive Director to make artist applications, surveys, and other submission forms available online.

Manage Art Round Tennessee’s social media pages.

Create and manage digital advertisements on social media and Google.

Attend in-person events to document for social media.

Work with the Executive Director on an advertising calendar and budget.

Work with the ART Prowl Committee to design the ART Prowl brochure + map.

Work with the Executive Director to create and send out monthly newsletters.
Qualifications:

General computer skills including managing spreadsheets, organizing digital files, and managing email accounts

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator, Canva, etc.)

Experience managing digital advertisements (Meta, Google, etc.) and email marketing

Experience in website management (Wix)
Monthly Salary: $680.00
Approximate Hours Per Week: 10 (Expect hours to fluctuate a little throughout the year)
