Terri Likens

As a career journalist, Terri Likens is known for “telling” details and bringing to light what others fail to see. These skills now serve her as an artist. A Kentucky Bluegrass native, Terri has lived and worked across the country – in the heart of Chicago, in the Appalachian coalfields, in the red rock country of Sedona, Arizona, in coastal North Carolina, and of course, in the beloved hills of Tennessee. She has seen the best and worst of society. Through it all, nature has been her escape and her refuge. Rather than being jaded by her life’s experiences, Terri’s work is marked by jubilance, wonder, a gentle humor and an uncommon sense of humanity. Her favorite subjects involve nature. She primarily paints in watercolor and acrylics. Terri is based in Cookeville.
