Robin Buchanan

I grew up in West Tn and now live in Franklin Tn with my kind wonderful husband and sweet dog, Olive. My Mother was a well known Tn. Landscape painter so she has always influenced me in the arts. I work in Encaustics (Melted Wax) as my medium. I use beautiful pigmented wax that’s heated and transferred to an encaustic board , reheated to create movement allowing me to paint in layers. I also use brushes, tools, glazes and oil sticks to create my final product. I was a faux finisher for 15 years before painting encaustics and it has been very beneficial and an added interest to my work.
