Haniyfa Muhammad Branka

Haniyfa Muhammad Branka is a mixed-media artist, and published writer. In 2023, she founded HMB ArtHouse, an arts and crafts business, and Trust Yourself, a violence prevention non-profit organization. Haniyfa has been immersed in art from an early age, continuing as a teen artist participating in various art programs and attending magnet high schools. She studied art in college while earning a BS in Psychology and Human Services and continues her creative work from her home studio. Her art uses eco-friendly techniques to explore human experience, inclusivity, and environmental sustainability. She shares sustainable practices with others as a teaching artist. In 2025, Haniyfa was named a Buchanan Arts Emerging Artist Fellow. Her work delves into the complexities of life, offering viewers a space to reflect, connect, and discover pieces of their own stories within. Haniyfa’s contributions have earned her various recognitions, and she's been featured in various media outlets.
