I began painting in 1966 while studying art in Tokyo, Japan, and later received an MFA degree from the University of Georgia in 1975. I taught art for 31 years at Cookeville High School while also teaching as an adjunct at Cumberland University, Tennessee Tech and Nashville State College. I love art, gardening, cooking and people.With over 40 years of teaching art in Tennessee on the college and high school levels, I now enjoys gardening and painting full time in my retirement from art education.
