Carol Ludgate

Carol Ludgate is a local mixed media artist who works with acrylic paint using many layers, bright colors, texture and a little whimsy. She usually paints in a series doing both abstract and figural art and likes to experiment with new tools and techniques.

Carol paints bold, colorful, positive art and enjoys creating an interesting title which affords the viewer an opportunity to pause and think about the piece. Her greatest compliment is when someone says her work makes them happy.

While mostly self-taught, Carol continues to participate in workshops and on-line courses. She feels fortunate to be an artist in the internet age and belongs to several international art communities on Facebook.
